Dear David,

What a pity your passionfruit has no pulp. It most likely relates to the vine not receiving enough moisture while the fruit was establishing. I can image it would get extremely hot where you live so it is important to make sure that your vine is well watered around its base on a daily basis. There is a virus called Woodiness of Passionfruit. It also affects the quality of the fruit. What you will find is thick rind on the fruit with very little pulp inside. This virus is carried by aphids so it is important to control any aphid infestation on your vine. You can control aphids with a product called Yates Nature's Way Vegie & Herb Spray Concentrate. This product will suffocate and kill this pest. You might like to feed your vines with Yates Thrive Citrus and Fruit Natural Organic Based Plant Food. This fertiliser will ensure that the vine receives the essential nutrients it needs to produce good strong growth and delicious sweet fruit.
