How do I stop slaters from eating my strawberries

Slaters are eating my strawberries. How do I stop this?

Hi Graeme,

Slaters can be a problem when it comes to strawberries. They are reasonably shy creatures who much prefer to hide under covering such as mulch than be out in the open. If you have a lot of mulch around your strawberry plants, perhaps you could move back the mulch creating a bare area of exposed soil. I know that is not always possible as strawberries tend to run and thickly cover the soil. You may find that pheromone traps will work for you also, Good luck.
