How can I kill suckers from a grafted passionfruit

I planted a grafted passionfruit years ago which never bore any fruit. I removed the vine but suckers persisted in growing. Pulling them out has not solved the problem. Suckers are even coming up many metres from the original vine location. How can I get rid of it forever.

Fruit and Citrus • Product Advice

Cut the passionfruit sucker at its base and immediately paint the wound with Zero 490 weedspray taking care not to allow any chemical to drift onto any other plant.
