How long before bisexual pawpaws bear fruit in the sub-tropics of QLD?
tree has huge amount of male flowers and been planted for 12 months, and looks great.
From what I have read, bisexual or hermaphrodite pawpaws only grow well in northern Queensland. Further south they tend to revert to being males. I have attached a reference from a supplier of tropical fruits and they too mention that they do best in a very warm location. Perhaps you might like to phone this contact to seek further information. http://www.daleysfruit.com.au/plants/Papaw-Papaya-Yellow-Bisexual.htm
