Why are my passionfruits wilting on the vine?

Fruit and Citrus • Physical Damage

Dear Codi,

It is difficult to diagnose the problem with your passionfruit vine without more detailed information. Passionfruit require a well drained sunny postion. If the soil is too wet the vine may suffer from root and collar rot. Another disease is fusarium wilt which can cause the plant to wilt and collapse. Nematode infestation can also cause the plant to wilt for no known reason. You do not say how old the vine is? If you have had your vine for several years, it may be time to replace it with a new plant,
