Recently planted Weeping Cherry now has holes in leaves and has lost half its foliage

I have a question regarding my Weeping Cherry. I purchased this tree approximately 1 - 2 months ago. It seemed to flourish to start off with, now only recently it is developing holes in all of its leaves and half the foliage on one side of the tree is gone. The branches seem to still be alive. Is there any way I can fix this? I desperately want to try and keep this tree alive.

Flowers and Ornamentals • Diseases

Looks like the tree is affected by shot hole, a type of fungal disease. You may try control the issue by spraying fungicides during bud swell, look into Liquid Copper or Leaf Curl Copper fungicide.
