Why are the leaves of my Cheals Weeping Cherry curled up with lots of holes?

My Cheals Weeping Cherry has leaves that are all curled up with lots of holes. The tree looks quite sickly

Fruit and Citrus • Pests

Hi Margaret,

The problem with the leaves of your Cheals Weeping Cherry tree would be caused by a pest called the pear and cherry slug. This pest can be controlled by using Yates Success Ultra . Ensure that you spray all of the foliage, including the undersides of the leaves. For best results, apply the product in the cool of the early morning or late evening. Once the pest has ingested the leaves that have been sprayed, they will stop feeding immediately but they may take up to 3 days to die.
