I have a mango tree with foliage at the top and almost at ground level
Can I cut the tree in half without affecting the growth of the tree

Hi John,
Thank you for contacting Yates.
It is recommended to prune off 1/3 of the crown every 2-3 years to maintain the shape of the tree and encourage new growth. This is best to carry out straight after harvesting in summer.
Best to feed the tree after pruning. Try 'Yates Thrive Natural Citrus & Fruit Organic Based Pelletised Plant Food' as a complete, soil-conditioning fertiliser for richer, juicier and more abundant fruit and healthy plant growth. Hope this helps and please do not hesitate to contact us again should you have any other query.
Happy gardening.
Best Regards,
Louise
