If you have spider mites, this can be a problem for roses. Spider mites can be controlled by spraying the foliage with a product called Yates Nature's Way Vegie & Herb Spray Concentrate concentrate. Mites tend to suck sap from the leaf leaving the leaf with a mottling on the upper surface. These mites produces a quantity of very fine webbing. If what you have is a normal spider, there shouldn't been any damage to the plant at all as they will eat other insects and bugs that are present.
