Can you please tell me when I should start spraying my mandarins for fruit fly?

Have had some success previously with Natures Way, unfortunately not this year though. Also which traps and what time of the year should I start using them? I live in Woodvale 6026. Thank you.

Hi John,

Thank you for contacting Yates.

Unfortunately, we won't be able to tell the exact month to spray as every variety's fruiting time is different. But the rule of thumb is to start spraying the attractant when fruits are small ( about 1.5 months) at a weekly base till harvest.

Try 'Yates Nature's Way Fruit Fly Control (Spinosad insecticide derived from a naturally occurring bacteria)'. The product works by tricking the insect into feeding on the spinosad-insecticide by luring it with an irresistible bait. Click here for more info on this product:
Hope this helps and happy gardening!
