How to Grow NSW Christmas Bush
The NSW Christmas Bush (Ceratopetalum gummiferum) in an Australian native plant that beautifully heralds the festive season. In late spring, it's covered in small creamy white flowers. But it's the vibrantly coloured red or pink sepals surrounding the flowers in early summer that are the real showstoppers. There is also an attractive white variety. NSW Christmas Bush is a large shrub or small tree, with different varieties growing between 1.5 and 6 metres tall and up to 3 metres wide. They create a gorgeous focal point in the garden, attract bees, butterflies and birds, dwarf varieties are great for growing in pots and you can cut the decorative stems for a vase display.
