Help - my Westringia has grey leaves and looks very sick
We have extensive Westrigia hedges and one section is very poorly. The leaves are grey although there are some green leaves towards the bottom of the hedge. We have had lots of rain over the last two months and the poorly section is in a drainage area.
Hi Ruth,
Thank you for contacting Yates.
Your poor Westringia has probably seen better days. The excessive rain and possibly poor drainage would be the cause of the issue you see here. Unfortunately, due to the growth habits of Westringia, it may not be able to be saved.
Once the soft green tips have been damaged or have died off they rarely reshoot. Cutting it back will cause further damage to the hedge.
I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
Kind regards
Stephanie
