Have existing Buffalo, would like to grow in an adjacent area (not large enough for turf). When I have used runners from my own lawn, these seem to die. Regards Paul

During spring, buffalo sprigs are available for sale in garden centres and large hardware stores. You may wish to make enquiries with your local supplier. Otherwise, try placing lengths of buffalo in a styrofoam box filled with potting mix. Anchor the runner down every 10-15 cm with home made pegs (short pieces of coathanger wire curved into a U shape) to ensure contact with the media and keep moist not wet. Place the box in a well lit position (out of full sun) and if possible, cover with a piece of glass for protection against the elements.
