What is this cream fungus on my lawn?

While mowing the lawn today I came across this fungus. It's cream colour, fluffy foam looking, black inside. I actually thought my dog had vomited. What is it? And more importantly, is it harmful to me (inhaling after I mowed over it on the lawnmower) Thanks.

Hi Megan,

I have attached a link which describes this fungi as 'dog vomit fungus'. The information suggests that this fungi occurs in turf where it is extremely wet or there is a build up of thatch. It might be worthwhile after removing the fungus, to aerate the lawn area with a pitch fork as best you can and rake through and remove any excess thatch. http://www.ipm.ucdavis.edu/TOOLS/TURF/PESTS/disnusiance.html
