My sick almond tree is producing buds, should I wait and see?

one limb died last year,nuts all no good,sap oozing from nuts. Starting to shoot and looks OK,shall I wait and see?

Hi Brian,

If the tree is budding and there is no further sign of disease, it would definitely be worthwhile nursing the tree along. If you haven't already done so, you can give the tree a winter spray with Liquid Copper. If the buds are starting to move, spray with the Liquid Copper and then repeat the spray 7 - 10 days later. Follow the directions on the label for a further spray in autumn at leaf fall. Goodd luck with your tree
