weather damaged clivia leaves
i have some potted clivias. the leaves have been wind damaged and look poorly. is it ok to cut the leaves right back to almost soil level to encourage replacement growth? if so, when to do it? i am in perth wa. thx
Yes, you can cut back the damaged leaves now but please ensure that you keep some greenery for the plant to continue to photosynthesize and recover appropriately. You may consider dividing them if they are too pot bound and access the soil quality. Give them a feed in Spring with an all purpose liquid fertilizer.
