Some of my broms lose their colouring in the centre, and I am wondering if my soil is lacking in something. I grow them in the ground, and they look well otherwise. Can you recommend a fertilizer, and when to use it.

Hi Ailsa & John,
Your broms are dormant at present, so wait until spring comes before fertilising. Bromelaids do not like to be over-fertilised, so when using a fertiliser use half the recommended dose. Yates Thrive All Purpose Soluble Plant Food would be an excellent fertiliser to use. This will ensure your plants receive the nutrients they need to produce flowers rather than an abundance of foliage. Enjoy this beautiful plant in your garden.
