Chain of Hearts
The chain of hearts has grown in popularity in recent years and caring for them is relatively simple.
A truly wandering plant, Dichondra ‘Silver Falls’ (Dichondra argentea ‘Silver Falls’) is a stand out in any garden. A tough perennial plant, it is often used in garden beds to create a flowing effect over the edges of pots, hanging baskets or retaining walls. It is also great as a ground cover in garden beds that receive full sun and requires little care once established.
1. Choose a pot at least 300mm wide. Position in full sun to part shade and fill with quality potting mix, such as Yates Potting Mix with Dynamic Lifter.
2. Remove the plant from the container, gently tease the roots.
3. Position in hole and backfill, gently firming down. Water in well.
4. Feed every 4 weeks with Yates Thrive All Purpose Liquid Plant Food.
For strong dense growth grow in full sun.
Great for use around swimming pools as a ground cover.
Easily propagated from division or cuttings.
