How do I treat my gum tree that is covered in honeydew sap?

and the grass I cut a few lower branches and it is everywhere. I know not to but it in the green bin but how on earth can this be treated please? Many thanks Marlene

The honeydew seen on the gum leaves is the result of gum tree scale. The size of the tree will determine if it is possible to control this pest. If the tree is small, spray the scale with PestOil .
