Have an infestation of bagworm moth in Cousin It plants.
Cousin it plants 6 years old in great condition. 3-4 weeks ago noticed what looks like bag worm moths now infested and 70% defoliation of plants. Have removed visible “sacks” but looking for a spray for total eradication. Also any suggestions on how to restore plants to health post infestation. Really appreciate any advice.
Removal of the nest/cocoon is an excellent form of physical control, once this has been removed place in a plastic bag, seal, then place into the rubbish bin to avoid reinfestation.
For the control of the damage causing caterpillar stage we recommend applying Yates Nature's Way Citrus & Ornamental Spray. Spray once a week until pests have been eradicated.
To improve plant health and vigour apply Yates Dynamic Lifter Liquid Concentrate as a gentle fertiliser and soil improver.
