Will potted citrus trees and potted camelias be happy next to each other on a balcony

Balcony garden with citrus trees in pots next to camellia in pots - will they like each other?

Fruit and Citrus • Plants

Hi Carey,

Citrus grows best when there is plenty of sun (at least 5 hours), no frost or too much wind. Some camellias prefer a more shaded position and will burn if grown in a hot westerly position. Camellia sasanqua will tolerate more sun than Camellia japonica. How much sun will the pots have during the summer months? Camellias require more acidic soil conditions and will prefer a fertiliser formulated for camellia and azaleas.
