When do I spray my apples for codling moth.

Fruit and Citrus • Pests

Hello Robert, codling moth eggs hatch once temperatures are above 15 degrees celcius, so you can start to begin to spray the entire tree every 7 – 14 days once the weather warms up (especially if you've had some infestations in previous years) and you first start spotting activity. You can try 'Yates Success Ultra - Insect Control' for this. This product contains spinetoram, the latest generation insecticide derived from beneficial soil bacteria.
One of the many benefits of this product is, once sprayed on to the leaf and dried, it is absorbed, helping the product to become 'rainfast'.
