What is the best way to control caterpillars on grape vines
The caterpillars were large and black and all over the vines.
Fruit and Citrus • Pests
Hi Debra,
These caterpillars are called the grapevine moth and can devastate the vine very quickly. Yates Success Ultra which contains Spinosad, an insecticide derived from a naturally occuring soil bacteria, will control these insects. Apply it when they are first seen and repeat 7-14 days later. The caterpillars stop feeding immediately but may take up to 3 days to die.
