How do I remove these pests fpermanently from my Eumundi Quandong Tree

These bugs were eating my tree and leaving droppings over my back deck. When I pruned, I found this cluster of bugs one one of the branches. It stopped for a while but now they are back as I have dropping on the deck again. How do I remove them permanently please?

That is a lot of caterpillars in the photo you have provided!
To control caterpillars on fruit trees, we recommend ‘Yates Nature’s Way Vegie & Herb Spray’. It's certified for use in organic gardens and there's no withholding period, so you can spray and eat the same day! It's available in a ready-to-use or concentrate bottle. This is available in ready to use or concentrated form.  The concentrated form might be best if you have a large tree with what appears to be a lot of caterpillars.  The product can be reapplied at 5 to 7 day intervals if required.  Particularly in wet weather.  Once a caterpillar eats treated foliage, it stops eating but may take up to 3-4 days to die and drop from the leaf.
