Should I apply Leaf Curl spray now on my peach and nectarine trees to prevent it?

Both trees suffered leaf curl in 2010 & "Leaf curl" applied with success in 2011. Now the Leaf curl happened again. Can I apply "Leaf Curl" agent now? What can happen to the trees if it is applied now?

Hi Vincent,

It is too late now to spray your stonefruit trees with Leaf Curl Copper Fungicide. It should be applied at budswell. The reason for this is that it will give protecting to those emerging buds and stop any fungus from entering. There is no point spray after the bud has burst. Hopefully your trees won't be too badly affected by the leaf curl. Now that it is spring, you can apply a fertiliser suitable for fruit trees such as Yates Thrive Natural Citrus & Fruit Pelletised Plant Food which will encourage new foliage and keep your trees healthy.
