Hi i Want to try and grow a persian silk tree from seed. My friend has one and it has only just got pods on it. they are green at the moment. When is the best time or how do I grow one from seeds.

The Persian silk tree's seeds are viable for germination. We recommend harvesting in autumn once the seed pods turn brown, keep it overwinter in cool dry place, avoid any direct sunlight. Sow in spring once the temperature reaches around 20c and all frost has passed. Sowing in a seedling tree in seed raising mix to start with, and transplant once the seedling developed 2 pairs of true leaves.
