Can I use palm tree roots as mulch

Can I use palm tree roots as mulch?

Flowers and Ornamentals • Garden Jobs

Hello Karen,

Chopped palm roots should work well as a medium to long term mulch. Consider how slowly the mulch will break down when deciding whether it is suitable for the type of garden you are applying it too. A generous scatter of Yates Dynamic Lifter Organic Plant Food on the garden before laying the mulch will help to balance any nitrogen drawn by the mulch as it slowly breaks down, while giving your plants a feed at the same time. Kind regards, Matt Yates Consumer Advice Horticulturalist
