New leaves distorted and yellow, foliage and stems covered in sooty mould, insects crowded on young leaves and shoots.
Small, quick flying insects, usually green or brown and feeding causes mottling of the leaves.
Large ragged holes, chew marks on leaf edges and silvery trails on leaves or ground.
Wilting and stunting of new shoots. Can cause silvering and yellowing of leaves (eg. squash) and uneven ripening of tomatoes and sometimes plant death. Sooty mould often accompanies large numbers of white flies as they excrete honeydew when feeding on plant tissue.
Green flowers and yellowing of leaves.
