How to Grow Veldt Daisy
Veldt Daisy is an old annual favourite for cottage gardens. A native of South Africa, they are tolerant of cold winters and warm summers and have colourful and vibrant blooms. They form a thick green carpet and push out a mass display of beautiful blooms through spring, summer and autumn. A word of caution is that the original types can self-seed and become weeds, particularly in bushland. Limit seeding by trimming off spent flowers and do not dispose of plants in or near bushland. Better still, look for newer varieties and hybrids, that are much less likely to become weedy and invasive.
