Morrie
Creeping oxalis in my wintergreen and tiffway turf lawn.

I cannot get rid of yellow flowering weed. Poisons I've tried seem to kill the tiffway but not get rid of the oxalis. I've tried to dig it out but it comes back. I've only had this problem since the floods of 2010. Could you please suggest product that will rid me of the weed without harming my lawns.

Answer: Hi Morrie,
Creeping oxalis is a very difficult weed to control. It grows horizontally, branching frequently and produces fleshy tap roots. It will regrow annually and flowers in spring and summer.
It can be eradicated with a herbicide such as Buffalo Pro but more than one spray will be required over several years.
It is best to spray the whole area of lawn and not spot spray as grass damage can occur if the spray is concentrated in one area.
