Is there a safe alternative from glyphosate for broad spectrum weed killing?

Submitted: 08:17PM, 16 Feb 2016
Answer: There are other weed killing ingredients, however they are potentially less safe because they
can stop other plants from germinating because they have a much longer lasting residual effect
– in some cases up to a year. Glyphosate kills weeds effectively and allows planting back in the
sprayed space after two weeks, due to its low residual properties. Glyphosate attacks the
leaves of plants but is not absorbed into the roots of plants through the soil, meaning it does
not have any residual effect on soil or non-targeted plants.
