How do I need to treat my young mango tree, now in bud, so that it retains its fruit?

I have heard something about having to use copper oxide and also Mancozeb. I would appreciate your advice.

Answer: Hi Lizz,

Mangoes do suffer with a fungus called Anthracnose. This is where the leaves are infected with this fungus causing small black spots to appear along the margins and the main vein. If the young fruit is infected it may fall. To protect the foliage and fruit Liquid Copper can be sprayed every 4 weeks from the end of flowering to harvest. During extended wet weather spray every 14 days
