Does Yates Clonex rooting hormone gel Purple have a shelf life? I purchased a 50ml container 18months ago.

I used the product 18months ago and it was very successful with camelia cuttings and rhododendron cuttings but this year none of the cuttings were successful. I originally purchased the product from Bunnings about 18 months ago. does it have a best before date?

Answer: Clonex rooting gel is a stable formulation and you would expect it to last longer than 18 months.
Camellia and rhododendron cuttings, however, are known to take a lengthy time to strike.
I’m sure your patience will be rewarded.
