I have a large agave attenuata in a garden bed that has pups. I would like to move the main plant to a pot and re-pot the pups separately. How do I do this without killing them?

I have been told that I can cut the plant across the stem and simply replant.. but it sounds too simple. Also, I am not sure if the pups can also be simply cut off and replanted or if there is something special that needs to be considered... help :o)

Answer: yes it is simple, succulents are one of the easiest plants to strike because of their fleshy leaves. The main thing to remember is to keep the water minimal because you don’t want them to rot.
