I have about 12 y/o pony tale plant in large ceramic pot and it has twin stems coming from main bulb stem. For first time both stems flowered to height of about 1 metre making overall height of plant about 3 metres. It would appear flowers now about 2 mon

My question is, should I cut-off flowers - and if so - where and when? Perhaps at base of flower stem where it appears new leaves are growing?

Answer: Hi Raymond, you can cut off the spent flower stems as you have indicated and you will probably find that at least 2 new stems will shoot from just below where you have cut.
