LANA
Young Strelitzia. - Leaves are going yellow and then brown. It's drying, how can I save the plant? Thank you

I got it as a very young seedling, just 2 levaes. After I planted it, it was going so well for a few weeks, got 2 new leaves.

Then the weather was really hot and it stayed in sun for a few hours a day, when i noticed the leaves are drying, so i removed it from sun completely but the drying didn't stop. Maybe I was watering it too much? I water it now maybe once a week, and I have a feeling every time it gets more water it gets worse. These are the last two leaves. How can I save it?
I live in Croatia. I got the plant from Spain. Weather is similar to Spain. Warm and sunny in summer. Colder in winter.

Thank you

Answer: Hi Lana,

Thank you for contacting Yates.

It is unclear what is going on with your plant there I am afraid. From the description it does sound similar to water stress but may be due to other unknown causes.

It is unfortunately difficult for us to ascertain what has happened to your plant from the description alone. Furthermore, as we are an Australian based company, many of the issues that we see here can be different to that in Europe and other nations. In this case, we would recommend that you contact your local nursery or horticultural expert for advice tailored to your region.

Kind regards
