Maureen
I was advised not to fertilize tomato seedlings as it only promotes more leaf grwth instead of fruit. Is this

On the instructions for your BIG BEEF tomato (which I presume has replaced your BEEFSTEAK) you say to fertilize from the planting stage.

Answer: Hi Maureen,

Prepare the garden bed prior to planting using blood and bone. Once the tomato seedlings are 5-7 cms high then they can be transplanted into the prepared bed. As the seedlings grow fertilise with half strength Yates Uplift Organic Liquid fertiliser. As soon as the flowers develop then start fertilising regularly with Thrive Flower and Fruit as this product contains high potassium which will help promote and increase flowering.
