i planted cos lettuce and it seems tall enough now but when i ripped out some outer leaves they seem like the outer leaves of iceberg lettuce that id just toss away. is it ready to eat? also covered in bugs. whats the best way to wash?

Answer: Hi Vanessa,
yes it should be ok to eat..you don’t want it to get to old and bitter. If you have bugs on the leaves just a wash under the tap will wash them away. I hope this helps
