Our pumpkins were picked before the vine dried - can you still eat them straight away or do you wait awhile?

Answer: There is no reason you can’t eat your pumpkin straight away. You wait until the vine has died to make sure the fruit is ripe. You age the pumpkin on the shed roof to ‘cure’ it, this extends the storage life of the pumpkin and is also said to develop the flavour.
