Windburnt weeping cherry trees...how can they recover?

The trees were covered in blossom, then a patch of hot winds burnt the flowers. They haven't t got any new green leaves. The hot weather was followed by a very wet winter but no green leaves. The trees are still alive as trunk is still green underneath. I'm worried they are slowly dying....help!

Answer: Hi Michelle,

Thank you for contacting Yates, what you can do now is to water some Dynamic Lifter Liquid which contains seaweed, blood&bone and fish meal to help developing new roots and restoring healthy growth. You can see more of the product from the following link: http://www.yates.com.au/products/fertilising/organic-based/dynamic-lifter-liquid-concentrate/#Qx0uRGmjMkTuwiLL.97 Meanwhile, you could try to cover the tree with shade cloth on the western side to protect it from excessive sun exposure.

Hope this helps and happy gardening.

Best Regards,
Louise
