Medium_nodding_violet Nodding violets looking sad, re-potting tips needed.

Lot of leaves are dead, newer ones closer to middle pretty good but the mother plant esp. is looking really sad. I'm hesitant to re-pot as the plant is easily broken but I know the potting mix would be virtually useless after all this time. Any tips on how to re-pot without too much damage would be greatly appreciated.

Answer: Hi Jan,

Thank you for contacting Yates, from what I can see your Nodding violet would benefit from division, I would suggest prune off all the dead stems and foliage right back before division, collect the new green leaves for leaf propagation if needed, divide the plant into 2-3 clumps before replanting in premium potting mix. Try Yates Potting Mix with Dynamic lifter, this all purpose organic-based potting mix suitable for most indoor and outdoor potted plants
