Advice please. How to take cutting of crepe myrtle and can i place in pot.

My parents had a crepe myrtle in their yard. It stands at about 10 to 12 feet high. It is over 45 years old. My parents have passed on and i would like to take a cutting. Please advise best way and best time to do this. Also will i beable to put it in a pot? Thankyou.

Answer: Hi There Kaz, yes you can take cuttings of crepe myrtles when they go dormant in the winter time is the best time, hardwood cuttings would be the best.
