When should you trim a newly planted photinia hedge to keep it bushy and compact?

Answer: Photinia’s are a great hedging plant but if you don’t trim them they can be thing and leggy. You should start to trim the photinia after its first growth flush. Trim a small amount regularly this will keep the plant compact and bushy.
