Why can't I use Yates white oil in autumn, I know not to use it in the heat of summer. I have aphids.

Meyer lemon has aphids on new growth . It advises not to use on citrus late autumn/ winter. Please tell me why.

Answer: Hi Meghan,

We don’t advise using White Oil on citrus during late autumn/winter as the oil settling on the leaf during cold periods can also cause a burning effect on the leaf as it does during the hotter months of the year. If you would like to use a horticultural oil on your citrus at any time of the year, we would suggest you use the Yates product, PestOil as this product contains unique UV protectants.
