can i use confidor tablets on a fig tree and eat the figs later? if not how can i control persistant scale?

Answer: Hi Warren,
Confidor tablets can not be used on edible plants including fruit or vegetables. To control scale on a fig tree can be a long process and requires regular spraying over a few years. Apply Pest oil now and then again in 7-10 days. Do not spray when the fruit are present as the Pest Oil may blister the skin of the fruit.
