Answer: Hi Angela,

Thank you for contacting us regarding your citrus tree. It looks more collar rot to me than borers ( normally there will be holes on the trunk for borer attack). Try Yates Anti Rot, a systemic fungicide absorbed by the foliage and travels down to the roots, can be used on various plants to control phytophthora root rot, collar rot.
