My little gem magnolias are in full bud but they lose a lot of leaves prior to this, leaves yellow then fall

they are not as bushy as when first planted but they are very tall, they have been in around 10 years,I have fed with dynamic lifter and power feed/seasol liquid, will they ever bush up again,I am a careful waterer but I am stressed I am doing something wrong to them, also have just added new soil and compost mulch, please help!!!!!!!!

Answer: Hi Julie,
Magnolias are slow growers, make sure your new mulch isn’t too close to the stem to prevent fungal problems. As long as you keep using your seaweed tonic. You can lightly prune them to promote new growth.
