why are the branches on my michelia coco turning brown and dying off

random branches leaves turn yellow then die off. they are grown in a raised bed. we have had a fair bit of rain could this be the problem.

Answer: Hi Debra,
If the ground has been extremely wet and drainage is poor then the Michelia may be suffering from root rot. Try to ensure the drainage is good and remove any mulch from around the trunk. Apply some Yates Anti Rot to the foliage of the tree. Anti Rot is systemic and will move throughout the tree to the roots. It is effective against phytophthora and pythium diseases.

To help the plant improve apply some seaweed booster or Yates Uplift Organic Plant Starter and Root Booster to help improve the root system.
