My gardenia flowers are getting small.the leafs are yellow and have black mould and brown spots.How to fix it.

Answer: Your gardenias are most probably suffering an attack of scale and sooty mould. Scale, a sap sucking insect,exudes honeydew which attracts a black fungus, sooty mould. If the scale is controlled, the sooty mould doesn’t have any food source so it will disappear. Use Nature’s Way Citrus & Ornamental Spray
or Pest Oil. An application of Yates Dynamic Lifter Camellia, Azalea and Rhododendron fertiliser during spring will perk up your plant. If the gardenia is growing as a potted specimen you may wish to apply Garden Gold.
