Spots on Leaves and Curling Leaves on Pepper plants.

I have some brown spots and some of, but not all of, the leaves are curling on my cayenne, bhut jolokia and capsicum. I have been told its not bacterial spot. The fruit on some plants is fine but others have produced only a few fruit. None of which appear affected. As was suggested to me it could be either, too much nitrogen, too humid weather , not enough calcium and/or not enough magnesium. Some older leaves were yellowing and dropping. so I gave a dose of Epsom salts to the soil and leaves which seemed to help briefly. What do you think the problem is and how can I correct it? I am also spraying a copper spray on leaves which seems to be helping the leaf curl but not curing. I should add we have been getting quite a bit of rain on and off with high humidity. And all the peppers are in pots.

Answer: Leaf curl in peppers is usually caused by water stress or sucking insects in the plant.
You may have a sucking insect such as aphids or thrip. These insects suck the sap out of the leaves which causes them to curl. Yates pyrethrum or Natures Way Natrasoap should help to control these insects. Before you apply the spray make sure you give the plants a good drink to help avoid any damage to the leaves.
